Beth Fox is a visual artist working in a range of different media. Her main area of research involves an investigation into the legacies of conceptual and appropriation art. Using performance, drawing, video and text Fox examines and questions the structures and dynamics of the art world. Her work often deploys humour as a device, adopting ironic self-reflection as a means of highlighting the absurdities and pretensions associated with the art world and its audience.
